Energy Executive Moves: Green Charge Networks, Tecogen, Nextility, Ecotech Institute, Ethical Electric, Renewable Funding

Locke headshotTecogen promoted Benjamin Locke (pictured) as Co-CEO to serve with current Tecogen CEO, John Hatsopoulos. Locke joined the company in 2013 as general manager. Prior to Tecogen, he was director of business development at Metabolix. In addition, Tecogen hired John Maloney as manufacturing manager. Maloney joins Tecogen from NEC Energy Solutions where he managed manufacturing operations for the grid energy storage division.

Nextility hired Joyce Ferris as its chief financial officer. Ferris joins Nextility from Blue Hill Partners, where she was the founder and a managing partner who has invested in more than six energy efficiency companies.

Green Charge Networks hired Harjinder Bhade as chief technology officer and vice president of engineering to lead the company’s efforts to scale its GreenStation energy storage products. Previously Bhade was the co-founder of ChargePoint, the electric vehicle charging infrastructure company.

Ecotech Institute named Chris Gorrie as president. Gorrie has been with the school since 2010, first as an instructor, then program director for the electrical engineering technology program and most recently as Ecotech Institute’s academic dean.

Gannesh Bharadhwaj joined Renewable Funding as president. Bharadhwaj will help lead the company’s operations and sales across all of its financial products, including its Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) financing model. Most recently, Bharadhwaj led the retail bank and wealth management business for HSBC in India.

Skipping Stone Partner Ross Malme was appointed to the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Advisory Committee to the US Secretary of Commerce as a representative from Skipping Stone and of smart grid consulting companies in the US renewable energy and energy efficiency sector.

Chris Perrault joined retail energy company Ethical Electric as its chief operating officer. Perrault most recently ran a consulting business supporting start-up clean energy companies and previously served as vice president of federal relations for Direct Energy.
