AmeriprideAmeriPride Services took delivery of its first fuel-efficient hydraulic hybrid system this month.  The vehicle (pictured), a 2014 Ford F59 chassis with a Morgan Olson Route Star walk-in van body, will be put into delivery service in one of its Canadian Linen branches in Toronto, Ontario.

Tops Friendly Markets has signed a full service lease agreement for 55 compressed natural gas tractors with Ryder System.The natural gas vehicle project is expected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 3,138 tons annually and expected to save Tops more than 50 percent of its fuel costs annually through a reduction of 1.2 million gallons of diesel fuel consumption.

Plug Power has completed installation of its first GenFuel hydrogen infrastructure for the ground support equipment market at the Memphis Airport. The deployment includes a standard hydrogen storage tank, compression system, fuel pipelines, and Plug Power’s first outdoor GenFuel hydrogen dispensers that will be used for a 15-truck fleet of airport tuggers powered by Plug Power fuel cells.

Mansfield Clean Energy Partners has opened its first CNG station, designed to support heavy duty natural gas tractor-trailers.

The US Air Force and California unveiled the Department of Defense’s first non-tactical vehicle fleet composed entirely of plug-in electric vehicles Nov. 14. This is the first vehicle-to-grid project of this size anywhere in the US, and the base’s entire non-tactical fleet will be switching to electric vehicles.

C.A.T. has signed an agreement with US Oil for the construction of five GAIN Clean Fuel CNG stations in the US and Canada to support C.A.T.’s recent acquisition of 100 Ryder CNG sleeper tractors. The stations will be located in Toronto, Ontario; Montreal, Quebec; Laredo, Texas; Charlotte, North Carolina; and Scranton, Pennsylvania.
