Bluesphere, a clean energy company that develops, manages and owns waste-to-energy projects, announced today that its technology division has acquired the rights for fast-charge battery technology.

The company says in the coming weeks it will provide full disclosure and information on this technology, which, it hopes, will create the initial revenue stream in the technology division.

Bluesphere CEO Shlomi Palas says there are three major dissatisfactions in the consumer market with lithium-ion batteries: safety; charging and life cycle. He says the new technology provides a fix for all three problems: it is expected to recharge 70 percent in two minutes and increase the life cycle from two to three years to more than 20 years.

Earlier this year Bluesphere signed a joint venture agreement with Alfa Eco to develop turn-key and build-own-operate waste-to-energy projects.
