Energy Technology Savings (ETS) is partnering with Lowe’s and Electrolux for a wireless packaged terminal air conditioner (PTAC) pilot program to test new cooling units in multifamily, high-rise buildings. Self-contained PTAC units are commonly found in hotels, condominium and rental buildings, says ETS.
The wireless PTAC units, which will be deployed in five different metropolitan NY/NJ locations, were designed to enable building operations management and residents to better manage and reduce energy costs with smartphone applications to control and schedule heating and air conditioning appliances.
The collaboration with Lowe’s and Electrolux reflects ETS’ strategy of developing business relationships with leading smart technology providers.
