BioMass Module Reduces Plant CO2 Emissions 85%

MARG EnergyMARG Energy, which converts CO2 emissions into algae that can then be used by the fuel, food and pharmaceutical industries, says its technology can help power plants, smokestacks, businesses and schools reduce CO2 emissions by 85 percent.

The company says the US algae marketplace is estimated at $400 billion, and $12 trillion globally.

MARG Energy developed a BioMass Module, with patent-pending technology, to capture CO2 emissions and grow algae at an efficiency rate that the company says is well above today’s algae industry standards.

The Module is designed to produce more than 30,000 different algae strains from CO2. It is scalable and designed to be transported worldwide within a 40-foot cargo container for industrial use within power plants and commercially by warehouses and farms.

Algae companies ready to bring their carbon capture and utilization efforts to the marketplace have asked the EPA to support the technology as a viable alternative to carbon capture and sequestration in its carbon pollution regulations.
