Integrated Reporting Training in the Works

In response to calls from businesses, the International Integrated Reporting Council is developing integrated reporting training and seeking organizations interested in being involved with its development.

IIRC says it wants to work with developers and training providers to create a high-level syllabus for professional development programs that can be tailored to meet market needs around the world.

Companies have expressed interest in implementing integrated reporting — but there isn’t sufficient training, says Neil Stevenson, the IIRC’s managing director global implementation. To fill this gap, the IIRC’s syllabus, when created, will be offered to existing training providers for them to embed in their programs. This will ensure consistent global implementation of integrated reporting, Stevenson says.

An advisory group will be set up to provide expert commentary and ensure market relevance, and delivery of the training will be through existing training providers or learning institutions. The IIRC is seeking developers and training providers to provide support through the provision of skills and expertise, financial contributions or delivery.

Organizations interested in being involved with the development or provision of training can email [email protected].

Late last year CRedit360, Deloitte, PwC and other leading technology companies joined forces to look at how technology can be applied to assist in the global adoption of integrated reporting.
