  1. Thanks for covering this important topic. Readers should know that a number of shareholder proposals have been submitted to companies this year calling for them to link executive pay to sustainability performance. The companies include Chipotle, PNM, Vertex, Celgene, PPG, Discovery Communications, and one at Devon Energy which calls on the company to de-link exec pay to a metric that is unsustainable (100% replacement of oil & gas reserves). Details will be available on these companies’ proxy statements as they are released in the next several weeks.
