Environmental Executive Moves: Amici Enterprises, Schneider Electric, Aqua America, Evoqua, Trina Solar, Carbon Trust

Amici Enterprises: The energy conservation technology company said Derek Chan, former chief operating officer of DreamWorks Nova and chief technology officer of Oriental DreamWorks, resigned from DreamWorks to accept the chief executive officer post at Amici Enterprises.

Schneider Electric: The energy management company has appointed Annette Clayton as president and CEO, North America operations. In addition to her new role, Clayton will continue to serve as the group’s chief supply chain officer. Clayton joined Schneider Electric in 2011.

Aqua America: The water utility announced that Christopher S. Crockett (pictured) has joined the company as its chief environmental officer. Crockett was previously deputy commissioner for planning and environmental services at the Philadelphia Water Department.

Evoqua Water Technologies: The water treatment technology provider has named James Irwin vice president, strategy and corporate development, a newly created position. Irwin joins Evoqua from A. Schulman, where he most recently served as vice president corporate business development.

Trina Solar: The photovoltaic manufacturer said its chief financial officer, Teresa Tan, has resigned to pursue other personal interests. Xu Ying (Merry Xu), currently a vice president and strategy assistant to the CEO at the solar company, will act as interim chief financial officer until a permanent replacement is hired.

Carbon Trust: The environmental footprinting organization has appointed Soffia Alarcon-Diaz as the new director of Carbon Trust Mexico. Alarcon-Diaz joins from Mexico’s Secretariat of the Environment and Natural Resources (SEMARNAT).

World Resources Institute: The global research organization has appointed Paula Caballero to be the global director for its Climate Program. Most recently, Caballero has been senior director for the environment and natural resources at the World Bank.

Advanced Disposal: The waste management and recycling company has promoted Jay Warzinski to vice president of landfill operations. Warzinski has served as the company’s director of landfill operations since 2013.

Republic Services: The recycling and non-hazardous solid waste firm has named Catharine D. Ellingsen, EVP, chief legal officer and corporate secretary. Ellingsen joined the company’s legal team in August 2001.
