Environmental Executive Moves: IIRC, M+W Energy, Intelex Technologies, Sustainable Down Source

International Integrated Reporting Council: The global corporate reporting organization has appointed Richard Howitt, member of the European Parliament, as its next CEO. Howitt will succeed outgoing CEO Paul Druckman (pictured) on Nov. 1 and will step down as an MEP to coincide with his appointment.

Sustainable Down Source: The bulk down supplier has appointed Caroline Zapf as chief sustainability officer. She previously served as the company’s project manager.

M+W Energy: The commercial and utility energy systems builder has appointed Jim Brown as president. He previously served as president of utility system business & EVP of global business development at First Solar.

Intelex Technologies: The cloud-based environmental, health, safety and quality management software provider has appointed Derek Smyth as chief customer officer. Most recently, Smyth was chief operating officer at Vision Critical.

Atlas Copco: The sustainable productivity solutions provider has appointed Sofia Svingby as vice president corporate responsibility. Svingby has during the past 13 years held various positions at NIR, the International Council of Swedish Industry.

WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff: The global engineering and professional services organization has appointed Manisha Patel as associate director of environmental policy. Prior to joining WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, Patel served as the deputy general counsel for the White House Council on Environmental Quality.

Burns & McDonnell: The engineering and construction firm has hired Jim Coll as senior project manager for national water projects. Prior to joining Burns & McDonnell, he served as project manager over the massive combined sewer overflow and sanitary sewer overflow control plan projects for the Metropolitan Sewer District in St. Louis.

Dragonfly Pond Works: The environmental services firm specializing in lake and pond management has named Bryan Wallace branch manager for western North Carolina. Wallace joins Dragonfly from Foster Lake & Pond Management, where since 2000 he has been an account manager for aquatic systems maintenance projects across North Carolina.

E4TheFuture: The clean-energy nonprofit has hired two senior staffers: director of state policy Susan Buchan and director of clean energy valuation Julie Michals. Buchan most recently served as executive director of the Energy & Environmental Building Alliance. Michals spent 14 years with Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnerships.
