Here’s the latest news on hirings, promotions and departures among environmental leaders.
National Waste and Recycling Association: The waste and recycling industry organization said Sharon H. Kneiss, president and CEO for the past four and a half years, has resigned, effective immediately. While the NWRA board of trustees is searching for Kneiss’ successor, current vice president and general counsel Kevin Kraushaar will take over her role. Waste Dive reports Chris Doherty, vice president and chief marketing officer, has also left NWRA under unspecified circumstances.
National Biodiesel Board: The biodiesel trade group has promoted Donnell Rehagen (pictured) to chief executive. Rehagen was named interim CEO in June after 12 years as NBB’s chief operating officer.
Energy Services Group: The retail energy services provider has hired Phil Galati as the company’s chief executive officer. Galati succeeds Lynn Cannon, ESG’s founder and CEO. Galati was most recently the CEO of Trillium Software.
Enevate: The advanced Li-ion battery developer has hired Sameer V. Rao as its chief financial officer. Sameer comes to Enevate from MaxLinear where he was a finance executive.
Telensa: The smart city products and services company has appointed David Brown as VP sales EMEA. He joins Telensa from Echelon where he was sales director EMEA.
Growth Energy: The ethanol producers advocacy group has appointed Christopher Hogan as the trade association’s new vice president of communications and public affairs, effective Nov. 28. Hogan joins Growth Energy from the International Bottled Water Association, where he served since 2011 as vice president of communications.
WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff: The engineering and professional services company has hired Duane W. Harris II senior vice president and director of finance for the firm’s US industrial and energy sector. Prior to joining WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, Harris was vice president of finance at a reservoir engineering and oil and gas production company in Houston. The firm has also named James Kiehl a senior supervising electrical engineer in the firm’s industrial and energy sector. Kiehl was previously a lead electrical engineer for a company specializing in renewable energy and electrical infrastructure projects.
Medgate: The enterprise-grade environmental, health and safety software as a service provider has hired Pam Bobbitt as director of channels and product marketing. Bobbit most recently served as Enablon’s director of sales for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
TruStar Energy: The compressed natural gas fueling station developer has hired Aaron Lay to lead the company’s sales group. Most recently, Lay served as the director of sales for Agility Fuel Systems.
