Environmental Executive Moves: Waste Management, LaSalle, Bolder Industries, WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, BioHiTech

Devina RankinHere’s the latest news on hirings, promotions and departures among environmental leaders.

Waste Management: The waste and recycling company has elected Devina A. Rankin (pictured) acting chief financial officer, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission report. Rankin, who has been with Waste Management since 2002, will retain her existing positions as the company’s vice president and treasurer.

LaSalle Investment Management: The real estate investment manager has hired Eric Duchon as global head of sustainability. Most recently, he served as director of sustainability strategies for Cushman & Wakefield.

Bolder Industries: The recycled Bolder Black manufacturer, formerly called Waste to Energy Partners, has hired Ken Dunn as director of sustainability.

WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff: The global engineering and professional services organization has promoted Steven Paquette to president of the US water and environment business unit. Paquette joined WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff in 2015 and has directed the firm’s water business.

BioHiTech Global: The smart food waste management company has hired David Fenton as vice president, national accounts. Prior to joining BioHiTech, Fenton spent nearly five years with Quest Resource Management Group.

Veracity Management Global: The holding company for water recycling and cleaning has appointed Stephen J. Gorton as vice president of technology. Gorton has licensed two of his technologies to the company.

Trojan Battery: The battery manufacturer has hired John Getty as the company’s new senior vice president of operations, Forester Daily News reports. Prior to joining Trojan, Getty served as vice president of operations at Eaton.

Amyris: The renewable products company has hired Kathleen Valiasek as chief financial officer. Prior to joining Amyris, Valiasek was founder and CEO of Lenox Group.

HUBB Filters: The company that makes reusable oil filter for most passenger cars and light- and medium-duty trucks has hired Jeff Allen as its new vice president of channel development. Before joining HUBB, Allen was director of sales and marketing for Patch Rubber Company.

Lakeshore Recycling Systems: The Chicagoland recycling and waste diversion services provider, which recently acquired K. Hoving Companies, has said K. Hoving founding executives, Ken Hoving and KJ Loerop will lead the newly-formed LRS temporary services division with Loerop serving as the division’s new vice president.

Resource Recycling Systems: The sustainability and recycling consultancy has hired three senior consultants: Resa Dimino, Bob Gedert and David Refkin. Dimino most recently was the principal for RADimino & Associates. Gedert most recently served as department director of Austin Resource Recovery. Prior to joining RRS, Refkin was president of GreenPath Sustainability Consultants.

American Iron and Steel Institute: The steel industry trade group has hired Kishore Mahbubani as a sustainability analyst for its Steel Recycling Institute division, Recycling Today reports. Mahbubani joins the institute after having worked at Alcoa and PepsiCo.

Water Quality Association: The trade association has named Scott Parker its associate executive director. Prior to WQA he served as the director of membership and career services at APICS, an association representing the supply chain and logistics industries.

Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure: The research association that promotes sustainable infrastructure has appointed John M. Stanton president and CEO. Previously Stanton served as the executive vice president and regulatory counsel for Solarcity.
