Hallmark Lighting, a manufacturer of lighting solutions, this week announced the launch of its Lumin Collection by Hallmark Lighting. The new line will offer stock products that provide an “affordable, yet sophisticated,” look for clients in the hospitality industry and elsewhere.
The Lumin Collection responds to growing consolidation in the hospitality industry, as almost half of the more than 53,000 hotels in the United States are owned by or associated with six large properties, according to the Los Angeles Times. Increasingly, owners of high-end properties served by Hallmark Lighting are acquiring mid-market, select service brands and seek to provide them with a similar look in lighting that is competitively priced.
“Currently, the nation’s five-star hotels use customized Hallmark Lighting products,” said Ron Cozean, executive chairman of both Hallmark Lighting and its sister company
Luminance and an operating executive at Resilience Capital Partners, which owns Hallmark Lighting and Luminance. “Many of our clients also operate two- and three-star hotels, and they asked us to offer a stock line that could replicate the look in their highest-end properties. The Lumin Collection by Hallmark Lighting meets this demand in a cost-competitive manner, delivers an 8-10-week lead-time and will be a true game-changer.”
Both Hallmark Lighting and its sister company, Luminance, have gained momentum since they were acquired in 2016 by Resilience Capital Partners, a private equity firm in Cleveland. Resilience Capital has invested in these companies, which has led to the hiring of senior executives, new products, and expanded marketing and distribution. “Hallmark Lighting and Luminance are recognized for their superior design, outstanding quality, and willingness to work closely with their clients and customers,” said Cozean. “We are committed to providing them with the resources they need to succeed in the highly competitive lighting industry.”
