The North American market for LED lighting grew by 23.4 percent over 2011, and is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 25.9 percent from 2012 to 2017, according to Frost & Sullivan. So far the outdoor segment has seen higher LED adoption than the indoor market, but as prices decline, adoption in the indoor segment is likely to increase.
