Utilizing Hybrid and Electric Vehicles in Corporate and Government Fleets | David Hurst, Pike Research

In this issue of EL Insights Dave Hurst from Pike Research looks at the challenging task corporate and government fleet managers are being given: cut both fleet costs and emissions. In many cases, fuel accounts for their largest annual cost or falls second only to staff costs. Since fuel usage is closely linked to emissions, fleet managers are increasingly looking to hybrid electric and plug-in electric vehicles (HEVs and PEVs) to mitigate fuel costs – and hence the costs of the fleet – and emissions.
