With ProcessMAP’s Sustainability Performance Management Platform, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) can capture data on its sustainability performance across more than 300 locations globally. FCA uses the platform to track overall waste generation, recycled waste, waste disposal, VOC emissions, water withdrawals, wastewater discharge, and water quality among other sustainability and environmental factors. ProcessMAP’s cloud-based solution allows FCA to automate the aggregation of this data and make informed, real-time decisions to meet sustainability objectives.

Using ProcessMAP’s analytics tool, FCA can visualize its sustainability performance and generate detailed insights for more transparency. FCA can manage sustainability metrics collection, normalization, managerial verification, and reporting to its executive leadership to improve EHS efficiency. By following the GRI G4 Initiative indicator set, ProcessMAP’s platform delivers consistent streamlined key performance indicator monitoring for FCA, according to ProcessMAP.

FCA began utilizing the platform in November 2016. The solution replaced several applications and augmented sustainability data collection and reporting tools with a single global platform. ProcessMAP’s analytics engine Insight consolidates data from FCA’s global locations to provide a holistic view in a simple, customizable dashboard, the software company says. Using the platform, FCA can pinpoint KPIs and take action to bolster its sustainability initiatives and enhance its EHS performance.

The solution also measures metrics for FCA employees. For example, the platform can track training hours and participation in training. Using ProcessMAP’s analytics, FCA can identify important trends across numerous data points and make any necessary changes easily in real time.

Prior to implementing ProcessMAP, every FCA location captured several types of data in spreadsheets and web-based systems. This created highly siloed data with little cross-location communication of EHS performance. Since implementing the Sustainability Performance Management Platform, FCA has been able to standardize data collected across all locations, ProcessMap says.

The platform has helped FCA meet its goals in a more effective and efficient manner, based on reporting from individual plants, ProcessMAP says. The data across locations is normalized for straightforward comparison and trend identification. The platform also reduces the non-value-added activities for EHS specialists, allowing them to focus on project-related opportunities and best practices for the organization. With ProcessMAP, FCA manages 1,143 KPIs that drive the company’s 20 high-level KPIs. ProcessMAP reports that the solution has increased the capacity and quality of EHS data and information for FCA’s annual sustainability report.
