Western Michigan University Cuts GHGs, Energy Use

Western Michigan University has reduced its greenhouse gas emissions by 13 percent from 2008 to 2012 using no offsets. Over the past 17 years WMU has increased building square footage by 19 percent and reduced energy use by 15 percent, and added 235 kW of PV.

Starbucks has launched EarthSleeve, a compostable hot-cup sleeve that the coffee company says decreases raw fiber material use by 34 percent and increases post-consumer content by 25 percent, compared to similar products.
